Needles and Artifice: More Reviews!
Some more lovely reviews have come in for the delightful knitting book Needles and Artifice (created by the Ladies of Mischief, of which I was the main illustrator). There's one over at Dull Roar, the winter issue of Knitty, Steam Ingenious and a podcast review (starts at minute 19) at Round the Twist.
There also might be some interviews coming up, so stay tuned! (And if you should be wondering what on earth I'm talking about, please have a look at the book over here at Cooperative Press.)

3 Red Birds!
There are also a ton of extra features! Would you like to have the books read to you by a kid narrator? That's an option! Would you like to see each of the illustrations go from line drawings to full color paintings? We have that! Would you like a behind-the-scenes tour of how I paint? Done! Would you like to color the illustrations in yourself? Play a matching game based on the book? Have the book in Spanish? Yes, that's all there too!
If you'd like to see for yourself, please check it out here!

Needles and Artifice- Reviews, Lovely Reviews!
Several very nice reviews of Needles and Artifice have come in, and I have to say I'm so tremendously happy that people really like the book. It was a rather long and difficult process, but what results!
Anyway, there have been reviews from Sunset Cat Designs and Kangath Knits, an excellent article from The Cool Ship, a video review from Gnome Acres ( around the 7:25 minute mark ) and a few podcast reviews: Knit 1 Geek 2 ( around the 40 min. mark) and Knit Knit Cafe (around minute 18).
So if you'd like to check out the book for yourself, hop on over to Cooperative Press!

A Refined Adventure Story is Released!
After much blood, sweat, tears, yarn, ink, paint and quill pens, I am proud to announce that the book 'Needles and Artifice' has been published! From Cooperative Press, it's a book of fantastic knitting patterns, wondrous photography, an intriguing adventure story and (in my opinion) illustrations of the most charming kind. I was the main illustrator for the project, so I'm rather biased, I do admit.
It's available in digital format right this moment and print copies are on their way soon, so if you're interested have a look here. To tempt you, here are some photos of a few of the patterns in the book:
So there you have it, a sampling from 'Needles and Artifice'- a book lovingly created by a group of tenacious, creative ladies who like to knit. And by the way, Neil Gaiman seems to like it!

(I've actually knit this pattern, it's fantastic for fall.)
